Artist's Statement

My paintings are mainly pastel landscapes, but also include oils, mixed media and collage.  The forms are generally abstracted orsuggested rather than realistically rendered, but the paintings are readily recognized as studies of nature.  The juxtaposition of pure colors, soft edges and emphasis on the effects of atmosphere and light are reminscent of the Impressionists.   I hope you enjoyed your visit to my virtual gallery.  Come again, as the paintings  will change occasionally.
